Multiple priorities without a coordinated direction
Bathrooms, ceilings, storage, service areas, flooring and outdoor connections all needed attention. Treating them separately risked repeated disruption and inconsistent decisions.
Full Home Renovation · Epsom, Auckland
A coordinated renovation of an established Epsom home, bringing bathrooms, ceilings, storage, flooring, laundry and outdoor living into one clear plan.
The project 01
For almost a decade, the owners held a clear ambition for their home — yet previous renovation quotes placed the project beyond their budget.
When the time was right, The Renovation Team shaped one coordinated plan for the property. The intention was to improve function and comfort without erasing the character of the established Epsom home.
Bathrooms, ceilings, storage, laundry, flooring, painting, carpet and outdoor connections were treated as parts of one complete renovation rather than separate, competing projects.
The client challenge
The owners had waited almost a decade after previous renovation quotes placed the project beyond their budget. The decision was not simply which room to renovate first, but how to make the wider home work as one cohesive project.

Materials & design
Light finishes amplify the home’s natural brightness, while restored American oak brings warmth and continuity. Crisp ceilings sharpen each room; tailored joinery makes private spaces work harder without visual noise.

Renovation process
A full home renovation reduces uncertainty when the scope, decisions, trades and finishing are coordinated as one project. The exact process is tailored to the property and agreed work.
Understand the property, the problems to solve and the renovation goals before defining solutions.
Bring the renovation areas into one clear brief, separating essential work from optional improvements.
Resolve key decisions, selections, sequencing and pricing before construction begins.
Coordinate the work across bathrooms, joinery, floors, finishes and outdoor areas as one renovation.
Complete final quality checks, finishing details and the agreed handover process.
The final result
Modernised bathrooms, renewed ceilings, tailored storage, a luxury laundry, restored American oak flooring and new carpet now feel connected through a consistent approach to colour, materials and detail.
The home’s established character remains part of the experience, while improved function and a stronger connection to the deck and garden make the property easier to live in from day to day.

Full home renovation FAQ
The scope depends on the property and the homeowner’s priorities. It can coordinate several areas — such as bathrooms, flooring, ceilings, painting, storage, laundry and outdoor connections — within one clearly defined renovation plan.
Yes. TRT works with established Auckland homes, including villas, bungalows and character properties. The aim is to improve daily function and comfort while making considered decisions about the features that give the home its identity.
That is the purpose of a full home renovation approach. Planning the scope as one project helps align decisions, trades, materials, sequencing and finishing across the home.
Begin with the problems you want the renovation to solve, the spaces involved and the priorities that matter most. TRT’s enquiry flow helps organise those details before an initial discussion.
Bring any available plans, inspiration, known property information, your preferred scope and a realistic view of your priorities. It is fine to begin while some design decisions are still open.
