Our Process for a High-Quality Exterior Paint Finish
A long-lasting exterior paint finish depends on completing every stage correctly. Shortcuts in cleaning, repairs, preparation or paint application can lead to peeling, cracking and premature paint failure.
Our process includes:
📌 Depending on the agreed scope, the painting process can include weatherboards, soffits, exterior windows, doors, trims, flashings and other exterior features.
By following the complete process without cutting corners, we can achieve a better-looking finish that protects your home and lasts for years.
Professional exterior cleaning
A specialist company completes controlled water blasting and thorough cleaning to remove dirt, mould, chalking and loose surface material. Once the exterior is clean and dry, the true condition of the cladding can be properly assessed.
Detailed inspection and repairs
We inspect the timber, weatherboards, flashings and other exterior surfaces for rot, rust, loose materials and damage. Rotten timber or damaged cladding is treated or replaced, rusted flashings are replaced where required, and rusty areas are treated with a suitable rust treatment and primer.
Sanding and surface preparation
Loose and flaky paint is removed, surfaces are sanded, imperfections are filled with suitable exterior fillers, and paintable exterior sealant is applied in the appropriate locations.
Prepared and exposed surfaces receive the correct primer, followed by two full coats of premium exterior paint in the selected colour.
Once painting is complete, we inspect the entire exterior to confirm that all areas have been properly covered, the finish is consistent and no loose or unfinished sections remain.
