140-Year-Old Auckland Villa: From Three Apartments Back to One Home
This 140-year-old villa had been divided into three separate apartments before being carefully restored as one cohesive home. The renovation brought back original features including ceilings and plaster columns, while introducing a modern country-style kitchen, new bathrooms, a master suite with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, and a reconfigured layout designed for comfortable modern living.
Glenfield First Home Renovation: From Do-Up to Added Equity
Shara and Brian bought a tired three-bedroom home in Glenfield as first-home buyers, then renovated it with a clear scope, fixed price and seven-to-eight-week timeline. Amelia’s First‑Home Transformation – Mount Eden
Amelia had her sights set on Mount Eden but as a first home buyer with a limited budget, the dream seemed out of reach. That was until she stumbled across a rundown one bedroom unit most buyers wouldn’t touch.
She saw potential and called The Renovation Team before making the offer. James sat down with her, broke down the process, and gave her the confidence to move forward knowing the cost and timeline were locked in.
Eight weeks later, everything had changed.
We reconfigured the layout to add a second bedroom, upgraded the kitchen, bathroom, plumbing, power, and added modern lighting and a heat pump. The home was transformed on time and on budget.
From a $451,000 purchase and $69,000 renovation, the new valuation came in at $700,000. That’s $180,000 equity gained in just two months.
At handover, Amelia burst into tears. She couldn’t believe that as a first home buyer, she’d not only secured a home in Mount Eden but increased her wealth so quickly. The keys, the champagne, the fresh new home – her dream had come true.
